“Can do better.” I built a career upon those words. Everyone, ever-judgeful. They point with hands that have never known brush or quill. They measure with untested tools and proclaim this or that. I am grateful to accept that what I give is not enough. But mark this: if it was enough, I would stop. On the day that my words satisfy completely, I will lay down ink and phrase, and never craft another sentence. So, yes, I can do better. I will strive for better until the final beat. Until then I will build my kingdom upon those words.
